3rd January 2022 Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 17-20knts Surf / Sea State: Decent waves Air Temperature: Okay Sea Temperature: Feeling colder... Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: A lot less wind than yesterday but I thought it was worth going out again anyway. Very surprisingly I found myself being the only person out, nicely powered on a 6.4m (a 5.8 would probably have been fine if I had one). Maybe everyone was knackered after the crazy day before! I'm taking it for granted putting a big sail on the Dyno 85 now, but I tried a smaller single find today and it was quite prone to sudden spin-out on occasion. Doesn't happen with my bigger fin so a bit more experimenting with technique is probably due. I put some blanking plates in the side slot-boxes for the first time today too but it didn't make a noticeable difference. Looks tidier though! As I was the only one our and the beach was pretty deserted I didn't sail long, but it was a nice little session anyway. That's the end of my unbroken record for 2022 though - back to work tomorrow :( |
